'Alland Byallo ' C'est le Producteur/dj/promoteur/label owner Minimal-Techno de San Francisco, pas une soirée de qualité sans cet incoutournable acteur de la scene techno californienne, il est l'instigateur et promoteur des fameuses soirées 'Kontrol' et producteur de plus d'une cinquantaine de maxis et aussi mais encore Boss du label Nightlight !

Pour la premiere fois aussi à Paris le non moins talentueux :
'Rafael Gomez ' ... Ce nom ne vous evoque peut etre pas grand chose et pourtant il est la plume musicale (plus poètique que 'negre')  du célèbre label allemand ' Substatic.

From the 18 to 20 Settembre Bologna will host the first edition of roBOt01, international festival dedicated to digital arts and music.   roBOt01 - Digital Shape Festival presents to its Italian audience contemporary musical and visual interpretations linked to electronic arts and new digital language. The festival is organised and promoted by Shape, an association that for many years has been involved in and has nurtured the electronic musical culture in Bologna and its surrounding areas, and who has a keen eye on continually expanding their research in order to discover new dimensions on both a national and international level.

The festival
This first edition of roBOt01 – Digital Shape Festival -aims to produce a collection capable of exploring the musical micro-cosmos defined ‘electronic music’. Its audiences and its production, distribution and how it is used, and furthermore, its limits, experimental approaches, its high points and future panoramas. Three days of exhibitions, concerts, meetings, performances, workshops and laboratories to narrate the birth and evolution of music born form clubs, and performances from the most important names on the international electronic scene. Names who have transformed this sound into a language capable of overcoming and extending the boundaries of style and musical genre.   For years the digital world has given light to new strategies, venues and forms of communication, a process which once only occurred in nightclubs.  Like all strong ‘avant-garde’ styles, destined to influence cultural evolution, it has mutated incredibly short space of time, leaving the limited and reductive boundaries of the dance floor: today every musical experience has its roots in electronic, in the composition, the production, as well as in the processes of editing and mixing.   The romantic figure of the nerd has suddenly become the main protagonist, the nerd who creates music with home made instruments assembled together in the best way possible, giving life to new digital and sound creation. Self-taught musicians, each one therefore unique in style, they create video and sound all sharing the same goal: that of satisfying and astounding their specific audiences. But also by creating new labels and channels of distribution, new methods of public/artist interaction, reinterpreting and discovering new spaces and atmospheres.  roBOt01 presents a selection of the best international digital production, considering the contemporary electronic culture not just as a phenomenon linked to nightclubs, but as a privileged language of artistic forms capable of uniting different media, and creating a space within the European event schedule, with a well known history: Sonar in Barcellona, Transmediale in Berlino, Time Warp in Mannheim, the Ame Festival in Amsterdam, the Roman Dissonanze.

The artists
An international line-up of the best electronic production in Europe. Among the many names who will appear at roBOt01 is the Finnish duet Pansonic, pioneers of the early 90s electronic scene, reuniting to perform after years of silence. The German Electronic scene will be represented by some of its most important figures, such as Nick Curly and SIS, artists – Curly being the owner – of the Cecille and the 8 Bit labels, two very important contemporary labels. Jhonny D., Federico Molinari and Vera from OSLO, another jewel in the worldwide scene with their minimal and deep style.  We will also host the Canadian artist Frivolous, one of the most interesting names in experimental electronic, with a production of live recordings and dance rhythms, which pass from jazz to pop. The enthralling and un-missable Mass Prod together with Kalabrese, the talented Swiss musician who is acclaimed for his original style and music, in a live duet. Basti Grub, only 25 years old yet already owner and musician of the Hohenregler, label dedicated to deep sounds with funky and house veins. Superb performer and one of the main artists of Cocoon, Tobi Neumann.
Italy is represented by artists such as Massi DL, rising star in Neapolitan minimal, Giancarlo Lanza, one of  the founders of Titbit together with Davide Squillace and Walter Del Vecchio. UnZIP Project, artists from Minisketch produced by Davide Squillace and Tenax Rec, AnderEdo of Shape Ass., Chronic Flakes, duet from the Veneto region made up of  Kay Sand and Alex Picone, who has just finished producing for Cadenza Rec. in Luciano. Tobor Experiment, who mixes together music and images in his performances. Fabrizio Maurizi, Bolognese artist produced by M_nus and superstar Richie Hawtin. The L.E.D. showcase with its Bolognese artists, UES, Linuz, Gas. Touane and Andrea Sartori adopted ‘Bolognesi’, now stable in Berlin, who will present thier new album produced by the Persona Rec label, for whom they both also work as solo artists. And Shaduz, electronic engineer and artist for Homework, inventor of his own software and hardware.
Furthermore each performance will be accompanied by visual art, light and video designers and performers, presenting latest frontiers of digital technology and creation. All of which will be presented in the in the three incredibly beautiful main venues, Palazzo Re Enzo, Manifattura Delle Arti and Cassero. Particular mention and credit must go to the video installations proposed by HomeworkLab, and by vjs Fabrizio D’Amico and Alias, real pioneers on the national and European scene.

The festival has two sections, both at night - dedicated to performances, djs, live sets etc, and during the day dedicated to workshops, debates and conferences on new images and digital languages. Among the confirmed appointments we have the film We Call it Techno film-documentary by Maren Sextro e Holger Wick, (national premier which opens the festival, Thursday 18 September) in collaboration with the Cineteca di Bologna, which through images inspired by the sounds and technologies that during the 90’s tells the story of the birth of a futuristic musical concept, inherently linked to the club scene by House and Techno.
